Kitchen Countertops & Surfaces in Atlanta

Prime Surfaces designs, fabricates, and installs kitchen countertops, waterfall islands, and full-height backsplashes in quartz, quartzite, marble, granite, and large-format porcelain — for Atlanta-area homeowners, designers, and builders who want the hardest details done right.

Your kitchen counters are the surface you touch every day and the first thing guests notice. We fabricate and install them with digital templating and clean, tight seams — in whichever material actually fits how you cook and live, not the one thing a single-material shop happens to sell.

What we build for kitchens

Countertops and islands, waterfall edges mitered so the veining runs down the side, full-height slab backsplashes, seamless large-format porcelain runs, undermount-sink cutouts, and custom edge profiles. Whether it's a single counter replacement or a full custom kitchen, the fabrication quality is the same.

Choosing the right kitchen material

For a busy family kitchen, quartz is the lowest-maintenance choice, while quartzite and porcelain add natural beauty and better heat resistance. Marble is unmatched for looks if you'll care for it. Not sure? Start with our honest comparisons: Quartz vs. Quartzite and Porcelain vs. Quartz vs. Natural Stone.

Why Prime Surfaces

Digital templating for a precise fit, book-matched and vein-matched slab layout, clean epoxy-bonded seams, and a coordinated quote → template → fabricate → install process so nothing falls through the cracks.

Frequently asked

FAQ

What is the most durable kitchen countertop?

Large-format porcelain and quartzite are the most durable for heat and scratch resistance; quartz is an excellent low-maintenance all-rounder. The best choice depends on how you cook and the look you want — we install all of them and will match the material to your kitchen.

Do you build waterfall islands?

Yes. We miter the edges so the veining flows continuously down the side of the island, and we book-match slabs where the design calls for it.

Can you do a full-height slab backsplash?

Yes — a full-height backsplash in the same slab as the counter is one of the most striking upgrades in a kitchen, and porcelain lets us do it with very few seams.

Which kitchen countertop is easiest to maintain?

Quartz and porcelain never need sealing and wipe clean with mild soap and water. Natural stone is sealed and re-sealed periodically. See our countertop care guide for details.

Do you serve my area?

We serve the Atlanta metro — including Marietta, Roswell, Alpharetta, Sandy Springs, and surrounding communities — and projects across Georgia and the Southeast.
